Drug Usage
Coming in two forms - capsule and delayed release tablet, Depakote ER acts on the chemicals that cause seizures.
How taken
Depakote ER should only be taken as per the prescription. Never take the drug for longer days or take large amounts unless prescribed by the doctor or you may come across serious side effects.
Depakote ER should only be swallowed, as it has to be slowly released into the body. Do not crush, chew or break the tablet or capsule as it will only release the drug in large quantities. If there is any difficulty in swallowing the drug, it can be mixed in some applause and taken.
When you are on Depakote ER medication, never stop the drug in the middle of a course as it will only increase the chance of the seizures to relapse.
Missed dose/ overdose
